Job Description

Graybill Medical Center, the management organization which supports Graybill Medical Group, seeks a leader to serve as the Director of Human Resources.

The Medical Group and the Center is well advanced in population health management with over 40,000 HMO risk and ACO members. The Group is located in north San Diego County and in south Riverside County.   

The Director of Human Resources advises and guides in interpretation and applications of Human Resources Department including policies and procedures; ensures compliance with State and Federal regulations; mediates grievances, disciplinary actions and terminations; develops and update personnel processes, employee relations, worker’s compensation, benefits, payroll and salary determination. Manages recruitment and selection process for staff, Advanced Practitioners and Physicians; represents the company  at unemployment hearings, mediations and/or employment litigations.  Manages the HR Department including Payroll and the Employee Health Nurse.  Additionally, works with the management team on employee retention and promotes the overall culture of the organization. 

The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator with exceptional written and verbal skills, must be a good team builder and participant, must be able to jump into any HR task and perform along side others as needed to fill in and must have a flexible management style.

The general office hours are M-F 8am-5pm but must be flexible enough to arrive early or stay late when needed.

Skills / Requirements

Minimum Education; Certificate in Human Resources Management, Preferred Education; HR Certification & Bachelor’s Degree, Minimum Experience; 5 Years, Preferred Experience; 6+ Years, Supervisory experience is required.  Experience in Healthcare highly preferred.  Must have Excel experience.  Experience with training is a plus.  High level of confidentiality is a must.
